Originally from Chicago, Tyler is an Associate Partner at GreatPoint Ventures where he specializes in fin-tech and insure-tech. Prior to GreatPoint Ventures, Tyler worked for hedge-fund manager Steve Cohen at Point72 Ventures. At age 18, he was one of 14 nationwide freshmen selected to join Morgan Stanley’s summer financial analyst program and became a national student ambassador for the firm. Tyler graduated from Claremont McKenna, where he was a Keck Science Immersion Scholar, and an active participant in Building Leaders On Campus (BLOC), Student Government, and the Young Entrepreneurship Summit.
Outside of the office, Tyler is passionate about paying it forward through youth mentorship, progressive political reform, education and the arts. Currently, Tyler is an advisor to The Cicero Institute, which empowers entrepreneurs to address America’s toughest social challenges by designing bipartisan policy frameworks and educational materials that foster entrepreneurial innovation towards cheap, high-quality healthcare, student workforce preparation, intelligent, adaptive regulation, swift transportation, affordable housing, and prison reform for decarceration efforts. He is also an advisor to Blvk Vrchives, one of the country’s leading African American social media platforms and advisories.
